Gameunculus’s Choice #1

In this segment, we let you in on Gameunculus's most personal, top three, loudest games of the past few days

Hey there. We're happy to announce that you are presently reading the first ever edition of Gameunculus's Choice. In this segment, we let you in on Gameunculus's most personal, top three, loudest games of the past few days. "Loudest, you say?" you say? Yes, loudest; whoever has been giving him food for thought, for reasons good, bad or ugly. The pleasure is all yours.

Blockchain Cuties

Let's kick it off with Blockchain Cuties. Though the big GU downplayed the Cuties as the poor man's Kitties back when the game was new, he has long since repented. It may actually be more of a rich man's Kitties (What! We said it!). This game is constantly top of the charts, and for good reason. Gameplay is fun, new developments have been coming out like crazy, and the dev team is communicative and transparent. And we all know how important communication is in any relationship. In this case, Gameunculus's relationship with the games. The highlights recently have been the community's discovery of dalmatian cuties, the addition of the game to BitGuild platform, and the release of Raid Bosses, along with their new CUTE token, and an improved UX – all of which will get a second, more powerful iteration on Halloween.

Brainy data:

  1. DAU, Thursday 11th to Wednesday 17th:

On Oct 11th, 215 users were enjoying the game daily, with the number holding during the week and ending in 219 on Oct 17th.

  1. Volume, Thursday 11th to Wednesday 17th:

The Cuties saw a hefty rise in volume at the beginning of that week, starting at 1.23 on Oct 11th, jumping quick to 5.43 on the 13th, and closing at 1.6 on the 17th. The week's volume sums up 19.43.

  1. Volume per user, Thursday 11th to Wednesday 17th:

(Let me get my calculator out)

  • Oct 11th 0,0057
  • Oct 14th 0,0067
  • Oct 17th 0,0073

It’s worth mentioning, on Saturday 13th Oct, the Cuties had a big spike; volumes per user reached 0.021.

Axie Infinity

Another winner, Axie Infinity has been praised for its design and impeccable gameplay. And Gameunculus is known for being a big, beer-can-crushing, brawny guy – but he does have a soft spot for art, folks. This month, Gameunculus was pleased to hear the Axie Infinity Battles system is finally live on the Ethereum Mainnet. The new battles are off-chain to avoid transaction fees and to make the experience smoother overall, showing that this game is up with the latest trends of the industry (giving up the full chain dream, looking for scalability solutions under every rock, like a McGiver of mc-chains). In addition, Axie Infinity will be joining the Loom NetworkPlasma Chain private beta, becoming one of the first Ethereum dapps to scale with plasma cash.

Brainy data:

  1. DAU, Thursday 11th to Wednesday 17th:

We counted 112 users on the 11th, 107 on the 14th, and 124 on the 17th.

  1. Volume, Thursday 11th to Wednesday 17th:

Thursday 11th their volume was 5.88 for the Axies, and it rose sharp on the 14th, to 19.19! It came down again though, to 10.48 at the close of the 17th.

  1. Volume per user, Thursday 11th to Wednesday 17th:
  • Oct 11th 0.052
  • Oct 14th 0.179 (you go guys!)
  • Oct 17th 0.084 (but don't go backwards!)

Etheremon

This one Gameunculus had fun with. Laughed all the way home at the pokemon-on-the-blockchain idea. While looking for pokemon with his phone on the way. But hey; Pokies gonna poke (that's what they call Pokemon fans, right? Pokies...). And if the blockchain was the 90's, Etheremon would be Pikachu. Popular af. Gameunculus is excited about Etheremon's Halloween event, where players will get a new superpower and will be able to resuscitate dead mons. That's how Jesus came back. True story.

Brainy data:

  1. DAU, Thursday 11th to Wednesday 17th:

The mons numbers don't look bad: 487 users on the 11th, 522 on the 14th, and 496 on the 17th.

  1. Volume, Thursday 11th to Wednesday 17th:

Started at 8.21 on the 11th, up to a 9,97 on the 14th, and down to a 3,84 on the 17th.

  1. Volume per user, Thursday 11th to Wednesday 17th:
  • Oct 11th 0.016
  • Oct 14th 0.019
  • Oct 17th 0.007 (ouch)

That's it for today folks. Stay tuned for the next time we read Gameunculus's diary – I mean, er, the next time he shares deep thoughts willingly.
